Surface corrosion and fatigue studies of pure iron were performed in a modified simulated body fluid (m-SBF) electrolyte with without applied agar films as typical hydrogel film. The electrochemical rates analysed using impedance spectroscopy. morphology surface chemical composition the samples after exposure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy Raman microscopy. swelling process film was measured by situ fourier-transform infrared attenuated total reflection. combination interface analytical approaches allowed for estimation influence an on processes. Moreover, clearly reveal correlation between life m-SBF.
